8-year-old girl finds needle in Halloween candy, police say
GREEN BAY, Wis. — Green Bay police are investigating an incident where a child in found a needle in a piece of Halloween candy, according to a release.
A woman turned the piece of candy over to police Thursday morning after her 8-year-old grandchild found it, police said.
The child gave the candy with the needle in it to her grandmother, and the grandmother threw away the rest of the candy before turning in the needle and original piece of candy to police, according to the release.
The candy was collected near Velp, Neville and Windford avenues, but the exact origin of the candy is unknown, police said.
Officials said there is no additional information to follow-up on, and they are asking anyone with information on the incident to call 920-448-3208.
