77 traffic citations issued during special enforcement
Police: One motorist was going 86 mph in 45 mph zone
MADISON, Wis. — A traffic enforcement effort on Madison’s east side resulted in 77 citations being issued to motorists, according to police.
Madison police said the Traffic Enforcement Team conducted speed enforcement in the 3000 block of Highway 30 Wednesday morning.
One motorist was cited on suspicion of going 86 mph in a 45 mph zone, according to police. Miguel A. Chantes Mones, 22, of Madison, was also cited on suspicion of operating without a driver’s license and operating without insurance. Police said he thought he was getting pulled over for talking on his phone and said he was late for work.
