73-year-old reported endangered found safe, officials say
Authorities said a missing elderly Montello man who was considered endangered was located Saturday afternoon.
The Wisconsin Department of Justice sent a Silver Alert Saturday shortly after 3 p.m. saying 73-year-old Joseph A. Neis was found safe.
The DOJ had said Neis had not been seen for about 8 hours Saturday. Neis was on foot when he was last seen at this residence on Cedar Lane in Montello around 7 a.m. The alert said Neis was “believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.”
Officials did not specify where he was found, only that he was safe.
