7-year-old killed by Rottweiler identified
Few details released by sheriff
TOWN OF HUSTISFORD, Wis. — A 7-year-old who died after being attacked by a Rottweiler Friday afternoon was identified Monday as Logan T. Meyer.
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office was called to a home in the town of Hustisford at 5:20 p.m. for a report of a dog attack.
Meyer was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of others involved and details of the attack are being withheld out of respect for the family, according to the Sheriff’s Office. The sheriff’s office confirmed Monday the dog was a Rottweiler owned by the family.
Sheriff’s officials said the dog is quarantined at a humane society, and will be euthanized sometime this week.
