When a school bus caught fire in South Carolina, the driver evacuated the 56 students on board in less than a minute, WYFF reported.

Two students in the back of the bus first noticed smoke rising outside it. The driver then parked the bus and helped the students evacuate, according to Melissa Robinette, a spokeswoman for a Spartanburg school district, The Associated Press reported.

Firefighters arrived to extinguish the fire, and authorities are now investigating what caused it, the AP reported.

Robinette reportedly said there were no injuries and the students were taken to school by another bus.
