$50K SUV, $8K car stolen from dealership service bay, police say
MADISON, Wis. — Burglars got away Tuesday morning with two vehicles worth more than $55,000 after breaking into a service bay at a south Madison car dealership, according to a release from Madison police.
The burglars broke into a service bay around 8:15 a.m. at Kayser Ford at 2303 W. Beltline Highway, officials said.
Madison police were called after the company discovered a black 2017 Lincoln MKC and a red 2014 Ford Focus missing, according to the release. Both vehicles had the keys inside at the time they were stolen.
Investigators said the burglars kicked in a panel of an overhead door to get inside.
