42-year-old faces charges in 2 counties in Facebook sex incidents
Endeavor man allegedly had inappropriate contact with 2 teen girls
MADISON, Wis. — A 42-year-old Marquette County man faces multiple charges in two counties for having inappropriate contact with and pictures of teenage girls, according to court documents.
John Henning, 42, of Endeavor, faces felony child pornography charges in Marquette County and eight counts of exposing a child to harmful descriptions in Sauk County.
According to a Marquette County criminal complaint, Henning asked a 16-year-old girl to send him nude pictures via Facebook after a yearly festival in Endeavor in October.
Henning told police he asked for the picture as a joke, but that he did know the girl’s age, according to the criminal complaint.
According to a Sauk County criminal complaint, Henning had sexually explicit chats on Facebook with a 15-year-old girl in June and July.
Henning is the teen’s friend’s next door neighbor, and he admitted to police that he had the conversations with the girl and that he knew she was about 16 years old.
If convicted in Sauk County, Henning faces a $80,000 fine, 28 years in prison or both. If convicted in Marquette County he faces a $100,000 fine, 25 years in prison or both.
Henning is due in Marquette County Court on Jan. 8 and in Sauk County Court Jan. 9.
