Whether spending an evening by yourself or looking for reservations for two or more, these combos of wine, cheese and multi-course meals are likely to brighten up your week.

Wednesday, Feb. 5
Wednesday, Feb. 5 Enjoy fondue, regional bites and two-for-one ice skate rentals at The Edgewater this Wednesday. In conjunction with Madison’s Frozen Assets Festival, The Edgewater is holding a special Fondue Dinner at The Statehouse. Along with salads and vegetables served family-style, the dinner menu includes three traditional fondue pairings: beer and Wisconsin cheddar with warm pretzel, fresh crudité and Wisconsin bratwursts; classic Swiss with boiled potatoes, crusty baguette, petite filet, grilled shrimp, cornichon and salami; and a chocolate fondue for dessert with fresh berries, devil’s-food cake, house-made marshmallows and pretzel rods. Reserve a seat at Heritage Tavern for the Vina Robles Wine Dinner. Five wines from the winery located on the Central Coast of California will compliment four dinner courses. The menu includes oak plank and thyme-roasted scallops, guinea hen agnolotti gratin, spruce-roasted beef rib-eye and tongue, and chocolate hazelnut beet cake. If you need a break from cooking your own meals this week, sit back, indulge and have a chef prepare five courses for you right before your eyes at vomFASS’s delecTable on University Avenue. The Winter Retreat Culinary Dinner Theater pairs wine and spirits with meals made from fresh, local ingredients. This particular menu includes mushrooms on toast, minestrone, broiled walleye pike, braised short rib and banana Foster supreme. Sunday, Feb. 9
A Farm to Fork Dinner will be served at Osteria Papavero as a fundraiser for the Madison College Entrepreneurship Class being taught in Italy this March. The family-style Italian dinner will consist of seasonal dishes featuring a variety of mushrooms and vegetables from local suppliers, and it will also include a selection of wine pairings. Funds raised will go toward offsetting the travel costs for Madison College students. $89. 7-9 p.m. Click here for more information
