Police: 24-year-old tampered with ignition interlock

Authorities said a collision that happened while a woman was backing out of a driveway turned into an arrest for drunken driving.

Iowa County Sheriff’s Department said a car backing out of 207 W. Main St. in Barneveld initially left the scene but later returned.

The accident took place at about 7:43 Saturday morning, according to the report.

Chessica Tucker, 24, of Barneveld, was arrested on suspicion of a third-offense operating while intoxicated, operating without a valid license and tampering with an ignition interlock device.
