$3M pedestrian bridge over Beltline reopens

A new pedestrian bridge over the Beltline has reopened near Verona Road, according to a release from the Department of Transportation.

The new 293-foot long pedestrian bridge over the Beltline near Verona Road and Seminole Highway opened to pedestrians and bicyclists Friday, officials said.

Final restoration and landscape work will continue over the next few weeks, according to the release.

The $3 million bridge replacement started in early May.
