3 transported to hospital following crash Friday morning
NEW GLARUS, Wis. — Three people were transported to local hospitals following a two-vehicle crash Friday morning at the intersection of state Highway 69 and Old Madison Road in the town of New Glarus, according to the Green County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said the collision happened when Paul Johnson, 59, of Fitchburg, failed to yield the right-of-way while making a left turn onto Highway 69.
According to the release, Johnson’s SUV collided with a southbound vehicle operated by 44-year-old Michelle Flom, of Monroe.
Both drivers and Johnson’s passenger, who was not wearing a seat belt, sustained minor injuries in the accident. All were transported to local hospitals, deputies said.
Officials said in the release that Johnson was cited for failure to yield right-of-way from a stop sign and her passenger was cited for not wearing her seat belt.
