3 missing, endangered Minnesota children found in Rock County, police say
ROCK COUNTY, Wis. — Three missing and endangered children were found in Rock County on Saturday morning, according to a news release.
The children, ages 10, 12 and 16, were believed to be passing through the area from Scott County, Minnesota. Saturday morning, Rock County Dispatch shared information about a white 2016 Toyota Sienna that was seen leaving the TA Express in Janesville.
According to the release, law enforcement officials followed the vehicle eastbound on I-39/90 before flooding the area. The vehicle was stopped without incident near LaPrairie Weigh Station north of Beloit.
The three children had been traveling with their mother, 46-year-old Sviatlana Buka, who does not have legal custody of them. All of the children were taken into protective custody and transported to the Rock County Sheriff’s Office where they will be turned over to their father.
The Janesville Police Department, Rock County Sheriff’s Office, Wisconsin State Patrol and Scott County Sheriff’s Office in Shakopee, Minnesota, were involved in the incident.
