2nd person reports gunshot went through bedroom wall, police say
MADISON, Wis. — A second person in a south side apartment building has reported his unit was hit by gunfire, police said.
Officers were called to an apartment building in the 1100 block of South Park Street early Saturday morning after neighbors reported hearing gunshots, according to a release.
Officers found a single shell casing in the area, but no damage or injuries were reported.
Later on that afternoon, police were called back to a nearby home after a bullet was found inside the house. Officers found the bullet had gone through the house and through the bedroom, where a person was sleeping.
A second person, who lives in the same building as the initial caller but in a separate apartment, contacted police Tuesday saying he discovered his unit was also hit by a bullet, and that the round traveled through his bedroom while he was sleeping, officials said.
No one was injured in the incident.
There is no suspect at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.
