24-year-old arrested in hit-and-run causing great bodily harm, police say
Victim stable, hospitalized with serious injuries
MADISON, Wis. — A Madison man was arrested two days after police said he struck a woman, seriously injuring her, then fled the area.
Madison police said 24-year-old Seedy Drammeh was arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run causing great bodily harm.
On Sunday, a 46-year-old Madison woman was found unconscious and seriously injured at the intersection of East Johnson Street and Wisconsin Avenue shortly after 3 a.m. Police said there were no witnesses to the crash, but based on evidence found at the scene, it appeared to be a hit-and-run involving a small white four-door sedan-style vehicle with a moon roof.
Drammeh was arrested Tuesday morning, police said.
Police said Tuesday that the injured woman is still hospitalized in stable condition with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
