BARABOO, Wis. — Two men are credited with saving their neighbors from an overnight fire in Baraboo.
Baraboo fire authorities said Derek Ulrich and Jay Norman called 911 and evacuated everyone from a house on Second Street just after 2 a.m.
Fire authorities said the fire started on the second-floor balcony and traveled up into the attic. Part of the second floor and roof were severely damaged by the fire. The rest of the house suffered smoke and water damage, according to authorities.
All occupants from both units in the building are staying with relatives.
Nearly 30 firefighters from multiple fire departments helped to put out the fire.
