2 Madison schools locked down after report of armed robbery

Woman sexually assaulted in downtown parking ramp, police say

Toki Middle School and Orchard Ridge Elementary schools were on lockdown early Friday afternoon as Madison police respond to a report of an armed robbery in the area.

Madison police said officers were called to the 5700 block of Raymond Road for an armed robbery at 1:04 p.m. between two people who are acquainted with each other.

The victim told police he was robbed by two men, one of whom had a handgun, according to the report. They fled on foot and the victim called 911.

Police said a K-9 officer was attempting to track the suspects shortly after 2 p.m.

Police said there was no ongoing threat to the community.

The schools were locked down as a precaution. The lockdown was lifted by 1:43 p.m.
