2 injured when vehicle goes airborne 150 feet in rollover crash, officials say
BOSCOBEL, Wis. — Two people were injured Tuesday night near Boscobel in a single-vehicle rollover crash after the vehicle went airborne more than 150 feet, according to a release.
Grant County sheriff’s officials responded around 9:15 p.m. to a report of a single-vehicle rollover crash off Highway 133 west of Boscobel, officials said.
Colton Rutherford, 23, of Boscobel, was driving west on Highway 133 in his 2016 Dodge Charger Hellcat when he drove off the north side of the road at a high rate of speed, hit a driveway embankment and went airborne more than 150 feet, according to the release. The vehicle rolled several times and stopped on its side.Rutherford and his passenger, 19-year-old Amber Friederick, of Fennimore, were extricated from the vehicle and taken to a hospital, officials said.
The crash is still under investigation.
