A man and woman were taken to a hospital after a crash on Madison’s west side.

Firefighters were called at 11:01 a.m. Friday to Old Sauk Road and North Pleasant View Road on a report of a two-vehicle crash that also involved a traffic light pole.

Fire officials said a Suburban struck another SUV at the intersection.

At first, everyone involved denied injury except one passenger who unable to get out of her vehicle because of damage to the door. She was extricated by firefighters.

The driver of the Suburban then realized he was injured, and relatives of the woman extricated from the SUV requested she be taken to the hospital.
