2 injured in vehicle rollover crash near Fennimore, officials say
FENNIMORE, Wis. — Two people were injured Saturday morning in a single-vehicle rollover crash near Fennimore, Grant County officials said.
Grant County officials were notified around 7:05 a.m. of a single-vehicle crash on Highway 18 near Annaton Road, according to a release.
A 2001 Pontiac Montana was going east on Highway 18 when the driver, 17-year-old Franklin Swan, of Wauzeka, fell asleep, investigators said. The vehicle left the road, hit an embankment and rolled several times before stopping in a field.
Swan was taken to Grant Regional Hospital, according to the release. The passenger, 43-year-old Christine Ohlhauser, also of Wauzeka, was extricated from the vehicle and taken to Grant Regional Hospital. She was later airlifted to UW Hospital by Med Flight.
The crash remains under investigation.
