2 injured in Jefferson County plane crash
FAA investigating cause of crash outside Palmyra
PALMYRA, Wis. — The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating a plane crash in Jefferson County Sunday, the agency tells News 3.
The plane crashed near the Palmyra Airport just before 3 p.m. Sunday, according an FAA spokesperson. The FAA said two people were on board the J3-Cub single engine plane.
Palmyra’s public safety director told our sister station WTMJ-TV in Milwaukee that both went to the hospital with injuries. One had to be taken out of the aircraft by the jaws of life, he said.
Witnesses told WTMJ they heard a plane sputtering before it crashed.
The FAA said it expects results to take weeks or months to be completed.
