2 face felony OWI charges after separate arrests, sheriff’s office says
MADISON, Wis. — Dane County Sheriff’s deputies arrested two men on suspicion of felony operating while intoxicated offenses early Wednesday morning.
The sheriff’s office said a deputy made a traffic stop at 1:34 a.m. on Country Road B and Hillside Road in the town of Christiana. Officials said Bradley G. Pellmann, 54, of Cambridge, failed field sobriety tests and was arrested on suspicion of fifth-offense OWI.
Pellmann was also cited on suspicion of open intoxicants, unsafe lane deviation and no proof of insurance.
At 2:07 am, Lonny W. Alderman, 43, of Madison, was stopped in the 600 block of North Fair Oaks Avenue. Officials said Alderman was driving with a revoked license and was intoxicated.
Alderman was arrested on suspicion of fourth-offense OWI and cited on suspicion of operating after a revocation and no insurance.
Both men are were taken to Dane County Jail.
The sheriff’s office said deputies and the Madison Police Department will conduct a special enforcement operation Saturday targeting drunken driving and funded by a grant.
