2 charged in undercover drug bust, sheriff’s office says
Two people were arrested after an undercover drug bust in Marquette County earlier this month.
The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office said 26-year-old Charles J. Pickle and 20-year-old Megan Hempel were taken into custody on on Dec. 2 after an undercover operation coordinated by the sheriff’s office, Westfield Police Department and the Central Wisconsin Drug Task Force.
Undercover officers reportedly purchased pot from Pickle and Hempel in the village of Westfield. The two were arrested on suspicion of delivery of marijuana.
Pickle is also being charged with possession of cocaine and possession with intent to deliver marijuana.
Pickle and Hempel are both from Germantown, according to the report.
The sheriff’s office said on Tuesday the arrests are part of an ongoing criminal investigation into the possession and distribution of illegal substances in Marquette County.
