A Beloit man was arrested on Thursday after officers responded to a Janesville Walmart for a complaint of a person with a weapon.

In a release, the Janesville Police Department said a person saw the suspect, Anthony Kreyer, yelling at an unidentified female in the parking lot. Kreyer then started to yell at another bystander who was trying to intervene. During the argument with the bystander, Kreyer reportedly showed a gun.

When officers arrived at the scene, they were able to find Kreyer and learned the argument allegedly started over the unidentified female driving in the wrong direction in the Walmart parking lot.

Later, officers observed Kryer’s car driving on Palmer Drive near East Racine Street with another car. When police searched the other car, they found the gun that was involved in the incident in the Walmart parking lot. The gun was a .38 revolver that belonged to one of Kryer’s family members.

Another person, Eleany Castro, was arrested on the charge of Obstructing an Officer.

Portions of Deerfield Drive were closed for the police response.
