$1M bail set for man accused in fatal west side shooting

Bail was set Tuesday for the man accused in a fatal shooting on Madison’s west side Friday.

Sophea Mouth, 52, was arrested on suspicion of first-degree intentional homicide and attempted first-degree intentional homicide after two men were shot in the parking lot of an auto body shop.

The incident was reported at 12:16 p.m. Friday on the 2000 block of Freeport Road.

Mouth was in court Tuesday where his bail was set at $1 million. His initial appearance is scheduled for Thursday.

Thomas Edward Dreger, 70, of Monona, was killed in the shooting, and another man in his 50s was taken to the hospital with at least one gunshot sound. He was in critical condition Friday.
