19-year-old Horicon woman dies from injuries after crash

A 19-year-old Horicon woman has died after suffering injuries in a crash on a snow-covered road.

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office said Destiny C. Kogler was flown to a hospital after the crash March 2 on State Highway 33 and later died.

Deputies were called at 8:35 a.m. to State Highway 33 near Fairfield Road in the town of Oak Grove on a report of a crash.

Investigators said Kogler was driving a 2000 Buick west on Highway 33 near the intersection with Fairfield Road when she drove onto the right shoulder and began to spin on the snow-covered road into the eastbound lane. The Buick was struck by a 1994 Mercedes-Benz driven by Andrew B. Pritzl, 61, of Lodi, who had been following a plow truck.

Kogler was flown from the scene by Flight for Life to Aurora Summit Hospital. Pritzl suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Beaver Dam Hospital.

Beaver Dam paramedics, the Juneau Fire Department and EMS, Flight for Life and the Dodge County emergency response team assisted at the scene.
