19-year-old arrested, facing homicide charges for fatal domestic shooting, sheriff says

RIDGEWAY, Wis. — A 19-year-old man is facing homicide charges in connection to a fatal domestic shooting on March 24, according to officials with the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office.
Austin D. Valdez was arrested Monday and is being charged with second-degree reckless homicide, officials said.
Officers were called to Keane Street in Ridgeway around 3:30 a.m., where they found 46-year-old Robin Reeson dead, apparently shot after a domestic incident escalated, officials said.
Reeson’s wife, Melanie M. Reeson, 43 was home at the time of the shooting. Valdez is Melanie Reeson’s son. There are no prior reported domestic incidents involving any of the three who were home, officials said.
Valdez will be in court Wednesday for his initial appearance, according to court records.
