16 arrested in Milwaukee following ‘criminal alien’ sting
MILWAUKEE — Sixteen criminal aliens were arrested in Milwaukee this week during a targeted operation led by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials, according to a news release.
Officials said all 16 men had been convicted of crimes, including battery, grand theft (auto) and intentionally causing bodily harm to a child. All 16 are from Mexico, the release said.
Fifteen of the men are in ICE custody, while one was turned over to the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office on outstanding warrants, officials said.
One of the men who was arrested was a 50-year-old Mexican national who had been deported twice previously, the release said.
