14 arrested as part of National Family Violence Apprehension Detail
BEAVER DAM, Wis. — Law enforcement agencies in Dodge County worked together last month to arrest 14 people on warrants related to domestic abuse or contempt of court, according to a release.
For the third year, Dodge County sheriff’s officials joined a national initiative, the National Family Violence Apprehension Detail, to fight domestic abuse, officials said.
The program focuses on serving family violence warrants, holding offenders accountable, enhancing community relations and promoting community awareness that domestic violence is unacceptable, according to the release.
Seven deputies with the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office coordinated with local police departments to conduct 41 arrest warrant service attempts on Oct. 19, officials said. Fourteen people were arrested on warrants during the initiative.
As of Oct. 24, 738 warrants were served in 38 states.
