MADISON, Wis. — The skies over Madison may be a little noisier than normal as the 115th Fighter Wing of the Wisconsin Air National Guard conducts evening training over the next couple weeks.

People living in the area near Truax Field may see or hear F-16 fighter jets taking off or landing until about 10 p.m. from Monday until Thursday this week.

The Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs says training flights are normally done during daytime hours, but pilots and maintenance crews are required to conduct a certain amount of nighttime training sessions to stay prepared.

Another set of nighttime training flights are currently scheduled for next week on September 20-23.
