11-year-old killed in Curry Court shooting, Fitchburg police say
FITCHBURG, Wis. — Fitchburg police say an 11-year-old girl has died after a Tuesday night shooting.
A 15-year-old male is in custody, according to the Fitchburg Police Department.
Police responded to the 5100 block of Curry Court shortly after 9:30 p.m. for a report of a person shot. The 11-year-old girl was transported to a local hospital where she later died, according to an incident report.

The 15-year-old suspect was arrested at the scene. He has since been booked into the Dane County Jail on a tentative charge of first-degree reckless homicide.
Authorities said their investigation is ongoing. The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an autopsy.
