1 killed in head-on crash with semi
One person was killed in a two-vehicle head-on crash involving a semi in Green County Thursday afternoon, sheriff’s deputies say.
The Green County Sheriff’s Office got a 911 call around 4:50 p.m. reporting a vehicle vs. semi crash on Highway 69 north of Hefty Road in the town of Washington, according to a release.
A semitrailer driven by Victor Ingalsbe , 47, of Oklahoma City, was going south on Highway 69 when an SUV driven by Kenneth Stone of Rockford, Illinois, crossed the center line and hit the semi head-on, investigators said.
Ingalsbe and Norman Karraker, a 53-year-old Texas resident and passenger in the semi, were treated for minor injuries, according to the release. Stone was pronounced dead at the scene.
Karraker was the only one not wearing a seat belt, officials said. This is the fourth traffic fatality in Green County this year.
