Best Places To Work
Madison Magazine Chose Six Winners, One Overall Winner
Think your job is the best place to work? For its March issue, Madison Magazine answered that question. The magazine has researched dozens of employers and polled hundreds of employees to select the "Best Places To Work" in the Madison area. Those considered included both non-profits and private companies. They work in fields as divergent as health care, education, technology and the arts. The candidates included both small and large employers.The winners were chosen based on survey results completed by the company employees. With that information, the magazine made its decision using a six-category critieria. The results were then ranked.While one overall winner was selected, six others were chosen that best exemplified each of the categories.The categories were:
- Most Enriching Workplace. This award will be based on the Next Generation Company attribute Enrichment which gauges the degree to which organizations provide employees with opportunities for achievement and learning;
- Most Rewarding Workplace. This award will be based on the Next Generation Company attribute Appreciation which measures the extent to which organizations make employees feel valued through the types of rewards and recognition they receive;
- Most Balanced Workplace. This award will be based on the Next Generation Company attribute Harmony which gauges the degree to which organizations provide employees with the flexibility, programs and support to achieve sustainable work-life balance and quality;
- Most Participative Workplace. This award will be based on the Next Generation Company attribute Voice which measures the extent to which organizations give their staff a say in decisions related to their work, jobs and careers as well as the governance and management of the organization;
