The checkout lady, the bank teller, the person sitting next to you on the bus ... everyone has their own compelling story to tell. On today's show, Oprah offers proof. We decided to select a few people out of our audience at random and profile their lives. First, we'll take you to Natchitoches, Louisiana where Oprah surprised a former audience member by showing up on her doorstep unannounced with a camera crew. You'll see how this little visit snowballed into a very public event. Then, CBS news correspondent Steve Hartman highlights the life of a housewife whose children had sent her and her husband to the Oprah show to celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary. Later, from Ghana to Cuba to Chicago, we'll hear the unusual story behind one doctor's success. Everybody has a story, on today's Oprah Winfrey Show.

11/5: What Does The World Think Of Us?
If you feel like a dummy when it comes to world issues, this is the show for you. Today, Oprah teams up with the experts at CNN to go behind the headlines in some of the world's most troubled regions, including one nation that is becoming known as the scariest place on earth. We gave CNN's international reporters an assignment, to ask the world what they think of Americans. How do we look through the eyes of the French, Pakistanis, North Koreans and Australians? How do people view the U.S. in countries like Columbia, Iraq and South Africa? You may be surprised at their answers. What does the world think of us? Find out, on today's Oprah Winfrey Show.

11/6: Life As An Obese Person
They are victims of prejudice and discrimination. They are laughed at, ridiculed, and endlessly taunted. Theirs is a life of degrading stares and constant humiliation. On today's show, Oprah talks to several overweight individuals who hate to leave their homes, but bravely agreed to sit down for our cameras. They give us a look inside their lives, share what it's really like to be fat, and explain how their obesity affects their lives, including how they are treated by others, how their families have contributed to their size, and how the weight affects their relationships.

11/7: Life Lessons From Funny People
On today's show, Oprah asks some of the funniest, most outspoken people on the planet to share their greatest life lessons. Comedian Bernie Mac was once a UPS man, a furniture mover, and a bread delivery sales representative. Now he has his own Emmy Award-winning television show and three new movies coming out. In his trademark comedic style, he shares some of his best life lessons about success. Then, former NBA superstar Charles Barkley talks about the important lessons he learned from his mother and grandmother. We'll also hear from "Will and Grace" stars Eric McCormack and Debra Messing, actress Patricia Heaton from "Everybody Loves Raymond," and funny man Drew Carey, when they talk about the lessons they have learned about parenthood, marriage, and the secret to happiness.
FRIDAY
11/8: Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman, Julianne Moore
On today's show, Oprah sits down for an exclusive interview with three of Hollywood's most talented stars. Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman, and Julianne Moore star in the extraordinary new movie, "The Hours." Based on Michael Cunningham's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, the film interweaves the stories of three women living in different eras. The three actresses share their experiences making the movie and Kidman explains why she felt that playing this role, just after her divorce, was cathartic. They also candidly discuss their feelings about motherhood, the struggle to balance it with their acting careers, and what they've learned from the most difficult job on earth.
