WIBA debuts a new talk show today, hosted by former WMAD morning personalities Vicki McKenna and John Peterson. The show airs 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on 1310 AM.

Station management is billing the show as an "entertaining, high voltage 'right-left'-style call-in talk show."

The show will follow "The Rush Limbaugh Show."

"We thought the show was a natural for the best news and talk station in town, and it provides something we were missing," said Program Director Tim Scott. "Both Vicki and John are totally committed to their points of view ... and thoroughly enjoy themselves in a debate. Neither one of them is much interested in sugar-coating their positions."

"Upfront with Vicki McKenna and John Peterson" will replace "Outside the Box with Mitch Henck," which is moving to mornings, 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. weekdays. Scott said Henck is "really excited about moving to mornings."

Other changes include "Madison Morning Update" starting a half-hour earlier and ending a half-hour earlier, running from 5 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
