Several communities under a snow emergency
Metro Believers Church has canceled their Sunday, Dec. 11 service.
Madison Maennerchor Christmas Concert scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday at Turner Hall in Madison has been canceled.
The Streets Division said its 32 crews deployed at about 5 p.m. to keep the salt routes open throughout the storm. The salt routes include major Madison streets, Madison Metro bus routes, plus roads around schools and hospitals. Crews will also be applying sand to hills, curves, and intersections to assist with traction.
A snow emergency is in effect beginning at 1 a.m. Sunday until 11 a.m. Monday. No parking on city streets will be allowed. Several city parking lots will be available for off-street parking; the full list is available on the city's website.

A snow emergency is in effect starting Saturday at 5 p.m. until Monday at 8 a.m. No parking on village streets will be allowed, but 24-hour parking will be available in the municipal lot in the 200 block of Mill Street.

The snow emergency will start at 3 p.m. Sunday for all signed snow routes and at 6 p.m. for all streets except the Central Business District, the city says. The city will clean up the Central Business District from midnight to 6 a.m. Sunday into Monday.
