Several communities under a snow emergency

Metro Believers Church has canceled their Sunday, Dec. 11 service.

Madison Maennerchor Christmas Concert scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday  at Turner Hall in Madison has been canceled.

The Streets Division said its 32 crews deployed at about 5 p.m. to keep the salt routes open throughout the storm. The salt routes include major Madison streets, Madison Metro bus routes, plus roads around schools and hospitals. Crews will also be applying sand to hills, curves, and intersections to assist with traction.


A snow emergency is in effect beginning at 1 a.m. Sunday until 11 a.m. Monday. No parking on city streets will be allowed. Several city parking lots will be available for off-street parking; the full list is available on the city's website.


New Heights Church at 1705 Center St. canceling worship services for Sunday.


A snow emergency is in effect starting Saturday at 5 p.m. until Monday at 8 a.m. No parking on village streets will be allowed, but 24-hour parking will be available in the municipal lot in the 200 block of Mill Street.


A snow emergency will take effect at midnight Sunday and continue through midnight Monday, the city says.


A snow emergency will begin at 12 p.m. Sunday. Residents are asked to park their vehicles in their driveways or garages, or in one of seven downtown municipal lots.


A street parking prohibition is in effect beginning at 11:59 p.m. Saturday and ending at 11:59 a.m. Monday.


Church services and Sunday School Program cancelled at Washington Reformation United Church of Christ for Sunday.


The taxi and bus services in Platteville suspended operation Saturday at about 5 p.m. due to weather, police said.


First Presbyterian Church in Oregon canceled its 10 am service on Sunday, Dec. 11 due to weather.


The snow emergency will start at 3 p.m. Sunday for all signed snow routes and at 6 p.m. for all streets except the Central Business District, the city says. The city will clean up the Central Business District from midnight to 6 a.m. Sunday into Monday.


A snow emergency is in effect from 6 p.m. Saturday until 9 a.m. Monday. Parking on city streets is prohibited.

The Sun Prairie Public Library will be closed on Sunday because of the snow emergency, the director says. 


A snow emergency is in effect from midnight Sunday until 8 a.m. Monday. Parking will be even/odd, the city says. Stoughton's snow emergencies remain in effect for three consecutive midight-8-a.m. periods after the start of a snow emergency unless it's canceled.
