The Madison streets department will be plowing all residential streets starting at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday following the light snow that fell Monday night.

Trucks have been out overnight working to keep salt routes as clear as possible.

However, Madison Streets Superintendent Chris Kelley said trucks have been unable to use salt because of the cold temperatures.

Instead, trucks have been dropping sand on city streets to provide some traction for the morning commute.

Kelley hopes to clear all residential streets by 4 p.m. today. However, the city does not expect to call a snow emergency for Tuesday night.
