The weather for Sunday and Monday will be partly sunny,
hot and humid with just a slight chance for showers
and thunderstorms on Monday, mainly due to the high
humidity. Highs will be in the lower 90s with afternoon
heat index values around 100 degrees. Tuesday's highs
will dip slightly, but heat index values will remain
in the 90s. There will also be a better chance of
showers and thunderstorms as a cold front slowly moves
toward the area.
A cold front will stall in the area Tuesday night
through Thursday morning, leading to higher chances
of showers and thunderstorms and cooler temperatures.
Highs will drop back a little to the lower 80s on
Wednesday, while the humidity remains high and then
fall into the upper 70s Thursday as the humidity drops
as well. Friday will be partly sunny and pleasant
with highs near 80.
It is beginning to look like the Labor Day holiday
weekend will be very warm and humid, and mainly rain-free.
High temperatures will be in the lower 80s on Saturday,
the mid to upper 80s on Sunday and near 90 again for
Labor Day. As a cold front approaches Wisconsin later
