Being a good video game player may pay off after all.
A new professional league is starting for video-game players called the Global Gaming League.
All the information to sign up is on the league's Web site.
If you meet eligibility requirements and are at least 13 years old, you can enter.
There are global ranking systems for games like BattleField 1942, Halflife, Unreal and Warcraft.
Global Gaming League Chief Executive Officer Eric Rollman said the goal is to give
really good video game players the same public exposure as pro athletes. There is an Athlete Management Division to give a player's career the maximum exposure.
The Global Gaming League will be involved in the upcoming Gravity Games. The top three finishers at the Gravity Games will receive gold, silver and bronze medals.
