TVW is pleased to spotlight some of the best drama from TV's most recent golden age in its nightly primetime schedule.
Through the MyNetworkTV programming service, TVW has back-to-back episodes of "House" on Tuesday nights, "Bones" on Thursday nights, and the venerable favorite "Monk" on Friday nights.
In addition, the long-running "Law & Order" franchise is well-represented, with back-to-back episodes of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" on Monday nights and "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" on Wednesday nights.
The medical drama "House," which enjoyed a very successful run on FOX, is a series in which the villain is a medical malady and the hero is an irreverent, controversial doctor who trusts no one, least of all his patients.
"House" has been honored with five Emmy Awards, including an award for creator and executive producer David Shore (Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series). The series has been nominated for 25 Emmys, including four for Outstanding Drama Series and six for Hugh Laurie (Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series).
"Bones," is an investigative drama about Dr. Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel), a highly skilled forensic anthropologist who works with FBI Agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) to assist on murder investigations when the standard methods of identifying a body are useless. Brennan's special expertise lies in her uncanny ability to read clues left behind in the victim's bones.
"Monk" is a comedy-drama about a brilliant detective for the San Francisco Police Department who suffers from obsessive-compulsive personality disorder, a limitation that worsens after his wife was killed. Playing the title role, Tony Shalhoub won the Emmy Award for outstanding lead actor in a comedy series three times.
"Law & Order: Criminal Intent" takes viewers into the minds of its criminals while following the psychological approaches the Major Case Squad uses to solve the crimes. In true Sherlock Holmes-fashion, Vincent D'Onofrio stars as Detective Goren, an exceptionally bright homicide investigator with well-honed instincts that match up favorably with his criminal quarry.
Finally, "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" is a hard-hitting and emotional series from NBC's "Law & Order" brand that chronicles the life and crimes of the Special Victims Unit of the New York Police Department, the elite squad of detectives who investigate sexually based crimes.
The drama follows Detective Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni), a seasoned veteran of the unit who has seen it all, and his partner, Detective Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay), whose difficult past - a child of rape - is the reason she joined the unit.
