Jay Williams produces the "Badger Sports Report" for WISC-TV. Besides keeping you informed on everything Badgers, Jay helps News 3 Sports bring you the best sports coverage in South Central Wisconsin.

“Being a UW-Madison grad, you’re always a Badger. So, it’s a dream come true to cover the Cardinal and White again,” Williams said.

Jay comes to WISC from KAAL-TV in Austin, Minn. He was the Weekend Sports Anchor there for a year and a half, spending a lot of time covering those pesky Gophers. Needless to say, Jay and family are very happy to be back in Madison.

Prior to KAAL-TV, Jay ran his own video production company, working on shows for the Outdoor Life Network. As Sports Director for Local Edition News in Fort Collins, Colo., he produced and hosted Colorado State University’s women’s and men’s basketball coaches shows. Jay covered the 1999 Rose Bowl when he worked as a photojournalist at WKOW-TV in Madison. He also spent 18 months at KEVN-TV in Rapid City, S.D. as Weekend Sports Anchor. Jay brings nearly a decade of experience in television to News 3.

Jay, his wife and two young children live on Madison’s west side. His favorite sports moment used to be watching the Badgers win the Rose Bowl in 1994. But being a native of Boston, seeing the Red Sox FINALLY win the World Series knocked Barry Alvarez, Darrell Bevell and company down to a close second.
