New York Yankees right-handed pitcher Michael Pineda was officially reinstated from the 60-day disabled list in anticipation of Wednesday night's start against the Baltimore Orioles.
Pineda was on the 60-day disabled list due to shoulder inflammation.
Pineda is 2-2 and with a 1.83 ERA over 19 2/3 innings this season
The Yankees also designated right-handed pitcher Chris Leroux for assignment.
Meanwhile, right-handed pitcher Masahiro Tanaka was able to throw Wednesday with no pain, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Tanaka threw 10 pitches from flat ground, and did not have any issues with his elbow.
