Waunakee rallies past Reedsburg

Warriors score six in 6th to win 7-5

Waunakee, Wis. -

Waunakee nearly had their six game win streak snapped Monday at home against Reedsburg. The Warriors went into the sixth inning down four runs and rallied to win 7-5. 

Waunakee drew first blood in the 2nd inning when A.J. Johnson grounded into a 5-3 put out at 1st. Mark Siehoff scored to make it 1-0 Warriors. 

In the 3rd, the Beavers answered. Steven Gavin started things off with an RBI single to tie it at one. From there, Reedsburg scored three more runs in the inning to take a 4-1 lead. 

The lead grew to 5-1 by the 6th inning, then the Warriors came alive. They plated six runs and go on to win 7-5. 

With the win, Waunakee improves to 7-1, while Reedsburg slips to 4-2.
