Jordan Shea scored 22 points as Lodi defeated Elk Mound 50-47 in overtime in a WIAA Division Three state semifinal game at the Kohl Center Friday afternoon.
Lodi trailed 26-21 at halftime but rallied as Shea scored nine straight points to give Lodi a 40-39 lead early in the fourth quarter. Shea then hit two free throws with 1:15 left in the fourth quarter to force overtime.
In the overtime, Lodi trailed 43-40, but sophomore Derek Paulson hit a three pointer to tie the game again at 44.
Elk Mound's Dexter Curry made a layup to put the Mounders back in front, but Lodi's Gable Smith made a basket and was fouled with 1:08 left in overtime and the Blue Devils had the lead for good, 48-47.
Smith hit two more free throws with 18 seconds left and Lodi hung on to reach the state championship game for the second straight year.
Paulson had 11 points on three three-point shots for Lodi.
Curry led Elk Mound with 21 points and 19 rebounds.
Lodi will play Brown Deer for the Division Three state championship at approximately 2:30 Saturday afternoon at the Kohl Center
