Sun Prairie girls volleyball loses at state
Menomonee Falls beats the Cardinals 3-0
Sun Prairie's first visit to the state volleyball finals at the Resch Center in Ashwaubenon didn't last long, as Menomonee Falls and Penn State recruit Simone Lee beat the Cardinals 3-0.
Sun Prairie did make some nice plays, thanks to Emily Chaussee and Molly Livingston. Chaussee led the Cardinals with eight kills in the match.
But they were no match for Menomonee Falls and Lee, who had 10 kills, four aces, six digs and a block for Menomonee Falls, who go on to play last year's state champion Burlington in the semifinals Friday.
Sun Prairie finishes the season at 36-11.
