Vikings sweep regular season series with Middleton

JANESVILLE -

The Janesville Parker girls basketball team took another step toward a Big Eight Conference championship with a 49-41 win over Middleton in Janesville Friday night.

Parker jumped out to a 16-4 lead and extended it to 30 to 10 at one point.

Middleton battled back behind the strong play of Liz McMahon.

But the Vikings pulled away with free throws in the final minutes and moved to 11 and 0 in the conference this season. Middleton drops to 6-4.
