Warhawks win national women's gymnastics title again

SALEM, VA - Beloit's KJ Evans scored 30 points to lead UW-Whitewater to a 71-63 win over Illinois Wesleyan in the NCAA Division Three national semifinals at Salem, Virginia Friday night.

Evans made 10 of 19 from the field and was 9-10 from the free throw line to lead the Warhawks.

Eric Bryson and Alex Merg each added 10 points for Whitewater (28-4).

The Warhawks will play the winner of Williams College and Amherst College in the national championship game in Salem Saturday afternoon at 4:30 pm CT.

Whitewater's women's basketball team lost in the NCAA Division Three Final Four in Stevens Point Friday night to Whitman College, 85-70.

The Whitewater women's gymnastics team won its third consecutive National Collegiate Gymnastics Association Division Three National Championship in Ithaca, New York Friday night.
