Madison Mallards outfielder Drew Weeks became the Mallards single-season RBI record holder as Madison held on for a 4-3 at Willmar Tuesday night.
Weeks' run scoring single in the seventh proved to be the difference in the game and was his 58 RBI of the season setting a team record.
A one hour and 29 minute rain delay in the second inning stopped Mallards starter Taylore Cherry's night, but Ben Neumann , Jack Livingston and Danny Sullivan combined to hold the Stingers to just two runs in the final eight innings.
The Mallards Alex Bacon scored on a fielder's choice by second baseman Erik Forgione in the second.
Joe McCarthy scored on Mike Fitzgerald's sacrifice fly in the fourth.
Bacon added a solo home run in the sixth, then Weeks drove in Anthony Cheky for the game winner in the seventh.
Bacon went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI and Weeks finished 2-for-4 with an RBI.
The Mallards play again in Willmar Wednesday night at 7:05 pm.
