The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater football team remained unbeaten as a fourth quarter score put them up, 17-14, to defeat UW-Oshkosh. The Warhawks improve to 7-0 while the Titans suffered their first loss of the year. This is UW-W's tenth win in the last 11 meetings between the pair.
Booker Ross scored the game winning touchdown on an 18-yard run in the fourth quarter, set-up by a Jordan Ratliffe 56 yard rush, the longest rush by a Warhawk this season.
Matt Behrendt was 22-40 for 236 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions on the day while Ratliffe ran for 126 yards, his second 100-yard game of the season. On the receiving end, J had nine catches for a 135 yards and Joe Worth caught six passes for 47 yards and the lone receiving TD for the Warhawks.
Platteville hosted Stout Saturday and the Pioneers ended the weekend with a resounding 59-35 win. The Poineers racked up 561 yards of offense, as the two teams piled up over 1,000 combined yards.
The game was competitive for the first one and a half quarters as the teams traded touchdowns. Once the Poineers found their stride, the Blue Devils never had a chance. Starting in the second quarter, the Pioneers began a 28-0 run to take a 42-14 lead. They cruised from there to win 59-35.
Platteville quarterback John Kelly tossed five touchdowns and two interceptions.
Platteville remains perfect on the year as they travel to Whitewater next Saturday for a top ten matchup with the Warhawks.
