WHITEWATER -

The last time UW-Whitewater football played an NAIA team, they got a 70-7 win. Saturday at Perkins Stadium, Whitewater thumped Waldorf 65-0.

The Warhawk defense was swarming all night as they forced six turnovers and jumped out to a 41-0 lead in the first half.

In the 2nd quarter, Andrew Keister snagged an interception and ran it back for a touchdown to push the Whitewater lead to 34-0.

On the next Waldorf drive, the Warhawks forced and recovered a fumble as Zach Nellis was able to fall on it to give Whitewater possession. They scored to make it 41-0 moments later.

With the win, the Warhawks improve to 3-0. They travel to UW-La Crosse next week for their WIAC opener.
