Packers re-sign Sam Shields

Cornerback's 4-year contract reportedly worth $39 million

GREEN BAY, Wis. - ESPN reported Saturday that the Packers have re-signed free agent cornerback Sam Shields. Shields and his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, announced the signing on Twitter.

The contract is reportedly for four years and worth $39 million. 

Shields played for the restricted free agent tender in 2013, earning just over $2 million. He played in 14 games, notching a career-high four interceptions.
